This is the camera I used (Nikon S210). I cost me £18 used on ebay. It has 8 megapixels and a 3 X zoom with an equivalent 35mm rage of 38 - 114mm. I bought it for putting in a pocket when I don't want to bring my DSLR.
Yesterday I decided to undertake a simple photo shoot using only a compact camera, to demonstrate that you can still get decent images from a cheap camera. Much of photography is all in the eye and the light. You can see the results in the new page TAVISTOCK MARKET. This is the camera I used (Nikon S210). I cost me £18 used on ebay. It has 8 megapixels and a 3 X zoom with an equivalent 35mm rage of 38 - 114mm. I bought it for putting in a pocket when I don't want to bring my DSLR. The purpose of the exercise was to demonstrate that you can still get reasonable photos from a compact camera if you use it wisely and are not over-ambitious. I also found it useful to use a completely different camera and rely more upon composition by moving myself and the camera than using a large zoom lens. So if you have a compact camera, why not get out there and set yourself a little project.
