HOO MEAVEY
Hoo Meavey is a hamlet on the edge of Dartmoor, near the village of Clearbrook. The word Hoo means a hill shaped like a spur and Meavey comes from the landowning Meavey family in the 12th century. As we passed through it on the way to Cadover Bridge I was struck by the almost magical landscape of hummocks and trees, so I returned to photograph it. I hope you enjoy this interesting place....
