I have just added the final photos of our Iceland cruise to the website. They are mainly of the prehistoric monuments of Orkney including the fabulous Skara Brae. Enjoy !

Just been away for a week to Cambridge and hope to post some pics soon. In the meantime I have added more ICELAND photos.
After 5 years of part-time study I finally obtained a BA degree in History this week. From now on I can devote a bit more time to travelling the UK and abroad and photography. Next week, I will be visiting the Cambridge area and hope to photograph some of the city sights together with nearby landscapes and wildlife. In the meantime, I hope you are enjoying the slideshow of our recent cruise to Iceland, Northern Ireland and the Scottish Isles.
Just back from a great cruise to visit Iceland and the Scottish Isles plus the Giant's Causeway in Northern Ireland. It was a great opportunity to take some memorable landscape and wildlife photos plus the usual mix of eccentric photos that I take. I will be posting a new slideshow page this week, so please keep viewing the site.
Ray Wilson I recently discovered an intriguing wood on Dartmoor. It is called WISTMAN's WOOD and gets its name for an ancient word for "haunted". It is only one of three remaining examples up upland woodland on Dartmoor and is full of twisted trees growing through an area covered in large granite boulders. You can see my photos in the DARTMOOR Page of this website.
You may already have noticed on the Home Page that I have added a feature PHOTO OF THE WEEK. Here I will post an example from the site of some of my personal favourites. I hope that you will enjoy them too.
Ray Wilson Last week the weather brightened up enough to allow a return visit to the excellent Exmoor Zoo. I have now posted some additions to the original page. Enjoy !
Back a couple of weeks now from Costa Rica and have posted the photos. The country was great for wildlife but also for some lovely flowers and plants. I recommend it as a destination for any photographer.
I have also used my Nikon macro lens to take some shots of an indoor orchid, posted in the Nature gallery. Another vacation beckons! Have stayed at home this Christmas for a change, we are off for two weeks in the sun. This time it is somewhere quite new to us - Costa Rica. The weather looks quite warm and the opportunity to see some new birds and animals looks promising. I still haven't made up my mind which camera to bring but I hope I get to take lots of nice photos to share. See you all in February ! Take care.
